Why Yoga?

Yoga means “to yolk” the mind, body, and spirit. This yolking occurs through a beautiful Vinyasa, the Sanskrit for flow, in conjunction with the breath. When the flow and breath harmonize, you build up an inner heat that ultimately allows you to release all that no longer serves you; helping to decrease stress and anxiety, helping to soothe depression, while increasing self-worth and strength (physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual).

Not every day is euphoric, however it is on the most difficult days that I find myself needing the solace of my mat the most. Showing up authentically allows the Creator to remind you through your Vinyasa that you are a strong warrior, whole, loved, and held.
